On October 21st the Cape Ann Museum, Gloucester, hosted a panel discussion with five present and past members of the Cape Ann Artisans over the last 40+ years. Here’s a link to the post on our Cape Ann Artisans News:

The weather's looking good for the Cape Ann Artisans Studio Tour, May 21 & 22, 10 - 5 daily. Come see my new, spring work and take a stroll in our gardens (tip: if you're into birding bring your binocs - the warbler migration is in progress). The new work includes several 'atmospheric' pieces, like Low Tide (previous post), and then there's Good Harbor Water, a playful piece that leans abstract. My dog theme continues with Black, Red and White.Download a tour brochure and map here
a friendly visit - open studio day 2
My old friend Steve Ellis, with Cheryl and sons, came out to the studio this morning. The "boys", Daniel Ellis and Michael Ellis, are up and coming artists in NYC. Thanks, Steve, it was great to see you.
open studio day 1
The studio is cleaned up and ready to show off the work, which I feel really good about - I think it's my best show yet. I usually get 100+ visitors and it's going to be great weather all weekend after last night's rain. Bring it on!

open studio tour update
It was a great turnout for day #1 of the open studio tour Saturday, and a beautiful day it was. The gardens got as many complements as the art did and Kim gave several tours outside. It's rainy today with the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill relieving the drought, but I know it's not going to deter the diehards.
Open Studio Tour this Sat & Sun 10:00 - 5:00
Come see my latest work this weekend, June 20 & 21, as part of the Cape Ann Artisans Studio Tour. Download a tour brochure and map here. Here's my detailed studio location.
Tour Monday
Monday, the final day of the tour, was another beautiful, fall day. Traffic was a little lighter, but the total weekend traffic was great, exceeding the June tour. Thanks to all who made the trip, and to those who could not, remember you can still come anytime, just give me a call ahead. Christmas is coming!
Sunday Tour update
Sunday was a very busy day with 64 visitors coming through for the Tour. Looks like another beautiful day today for the finale. I'd say yesterday's comment of the day on my paintings was "mischievous". I liked that, and agreed.
Studio Tour in progress
Had 46 people visit my studio yesterday, including folks from DC, NH, and all over MA. I have my coffee and am ready for more today and tomorrow. The feedback has been great, especially on "Tapestry" (the paint's still drying). Lots of smiles when people step into the studio and look around.
Tapestry - Studio Tour this weekend

Find all the info at http://capeannartisans.com/, including the map, brochure, and info about each artisan, including me. There are 23 studios to visit, so reviewing the artisans ahead of time, selecting your top interests, and planning your route will save you time.
My new studio, at 1 Camborne Way (entrance on South St.), Rockport, will have my new oils, watercolors, prints, and cards. (NOTE: I've moved from my downtown Rockport studio.)
